I read the whole series in order and wasn't disappointed, got hooked into the characters and the plot right away, sad to see some of the characters who died off in the series - always cheering for the characters I like the most - good solid zombie series
I really like the fact that we are getting to know the backgrounds of the characters. Having read the trilogy it is nice to know where the characters came from.
I am a big zombie fan & really enjoyed this, so much so that I read it in one sitting! For fans of The Walking Dead & World War Z, book, not movie; here is something you will enjoy. Animal lovers will like the adventures of Pepe, the terrier as he fights for his place in this new world. Man's best friend has a starring role in the zombie apocalypse. Believable characters & situations make for a fun & exciting read. This is the first work I have read of the author's and I am ready for more. For those familiar with her works, it gives you some background on some main characters. Great read, enjoy!
Love anything about the fort
Finished As the World Dies Untold Tales Volume 1 by Rhiannon Frater, what a great book. It contained three page-turning stories that should be read with her As the World Dies trilogy. What I liked most is that I was able to learn more about Lydia and the other characters, even Pepe the dog in this book. It is not a gory zombie book, but a book you want to finish reading to see what happens.
I just can not get enough of the "As The World Dies" books. These untold tales make it even more fun. This is a bunch of short stories that tell the stories of the extra characters and how they survived the first few days while the world dies. You get a much better understanding of all of the extra characters that you get to meet in the original "As the World Dies" trilogy.
I kept hesitating to read Rhiannon Frater's work, now I am not sure why I waited. This was an excellent group of stories and I am jumping right in to the rest of her zombie books. Well written with an engaging cast of characters that I look forward to re-visiting in her other books. Plenty of gore for those who enjoy that aspect and very well developed characters.
